Emergclinic — same-day
emergency dental.

A two-sided platform connecting patients in dental pain with clinics that have same-day capacity. Real-time matching, ops dashboard for the clinic side, and a patient flow designed to convert from a Google search at 2 a.m.

The challenge

Dental emergencies don't
respect business hours.

In a city like Toronto, hundreds of people search "emergency dentist near me" every single day — many at hours when the average clinic is closed. The patient flow is broken on both ends: patients call ten clinics in a row, and clinics with same-day slots have no way to surface them to people actively looking.

Emergclinic was built to be the matching layer — patient request in, qualified clinic match out, real-time.

What we shipped

A platform, not a directory.

Patient flow

Mobile-first request flow optimized for someone in pain — short form, triage questions, geo-aware matching, and instant clinic confirmation via SMS.

Clinic ops dashboard

Real-time incoming requests, one-click accept/decline, capacity windows by operatory, and SMS handoff to staff. Designed to live on a front-desk screen.

Matching engine

Geo + availability + treatment-type matching, with fall-through routing when the primary clinic doesn't accept within the SLA window.

How we built it

Co-built with a Toronto operator.

Emergclinic is an equity-partnership venture — Leyoxa handled all of the engineering and product, the operator handled distribution into the Toronto clinic network. We ship together, not as vendor/client.

  • Stack: Next.js, Supabase, Twilio for SMS, real-time channels for clinic dashboard updates
  • Patient acquisition: SEO-first build — emergency-keyword landing pages, schema, fast TTI on mobile
  • Clinic UX: built to be glanceable from a busy front desk — critical info first, every action one click
  • SLA logic: if the primary clinic doesn't accept inside the window, the request fans out to the next-closest qualified match

Have a marketplace play
that needs a real product?

Two-sided platforms, on-demand matching, ops dashboards — if you have an operator side of the marketplace already, we'd like to talk about how we build the rest with you.
